He graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1992 and worked as a Mechanical Engineer in Northwest Arkansas for five years. In 1995, Paul married his wife, Kendra. He was called to pastoral ministry and began attending seminary in 1998.  Paul began serving the Lord as an Associate and Youth Pastor while attending seminary and graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina with a Master of Divinity Degree with Biblical Languages in 2000. Paul and Kendra have been blessed with two children. Samuel was born in 2001 and Christen was born in 2003. Paul pastored churches in Arkansas and Florida before coming to the First Baptist Church in LaPlace, Louisiana in May of 2010. Paul earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2014.

Paul has a love for Jesus and a desire to see others come to know Him as Lord. His ministry is focused on the preaching and teaching of the word of God and pastoral ministry to his church and community. Paul’s wife, Kendra, invests in their family as she homeschools Samuel and Christen and helps make their home a wonderful place to be. Samuel and Christen are gifted in music and use their gifts to glorify the Lord. Paul enjoys time with his family and has an interest in cars. He follows Major League Baseball and has been a Los Angeles Dodgers fan since he was four. He also enjoys college and professional football.
