About Us

 

The purpose of First Baptist Church, LaPlace, is to carry out the Great Commandment and the Great Commission (Mt. 22:37-40; 28:19-20) by:

 

A.    Glorifying God and showing our love for Him through meaningful worship that allows the Holy Spirit to act;

 

B.     Loving our neighbors and expressing this love through ministering to their spiritual, emotional, relational, and physical needs;

 

C.     Going and making disciples through communicating the gospel message of Jesus Christ to the world, baptizing them into the fellowship of believers and the body of Christ;

 

D.    Discipling each person to become more Christ-like in his or her thoughts, feelings, and actions.
